Can we meet you?
My name is Claire. A dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive. I specialize in Corporate sales, client retention, and identifying new business opportunities within the competitive hospitality space, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through tailored sales solutions. I am committed to excellence, adaptability, and continuous growth, contributing positively to both client success and organizational goals
Share with us the most exciting thing about you?
Hmmm.... I enjoy connecting with people—friends, colleagues, clients, and even those I might consider adversaries. It brings me genuine joy to offer words that might uplift someone who is feeling down.
Tell us some of your work rules that are also applicable to your life.
An important one will be from the moment I stepped into this role, I realized that selling luxury hospitality isn't just about showcasing our world-class amenities, it's about curating personalized experiences. Every conversation, every pitch, and every negotiation is an opportunity to connect with people, understand their desires, needs, and create unforgettable moments for them. You see, these also align with my lifestyle, and so it's not challenging for me, as building relationships naturally resonates with me.
Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
I can be an introvert and an extrovert at the same time. That means I am an Ambivert, as I find a way of balancing my social lifestyle and needing alone time to refresh my mind, body, and soul
What is that thing you cannot do without?
Well.... It's sleep. I love to sleep.
What is that thing no one can find you doing?
Talking politics and football conversations. Not even in my sleep.
Facebook or Instagram?
Facebook. This is because I have this one page I follow that I learn a lot from. Instagram comes in handy when I need to check out a vendor to make some purchases.
If not in Africa, what continent would you have loved to come from?
Europe for me....because of its vibrant cultures, diverse food cuisines, beautiful bustling cities, and easy means of transportation.
What is your take on career growth in the hotel industry as it's perceived to be stunted?
The hotel industry isn’t inherently stunted, but it requires clarity, hustle, and strategic positioning to grow. Those who treat it like a long-term career (not just a job) can rise very far, very fast, especially with the global travel rebound and tech-driven changes reshaping the hospitality Industry. So there is corporate growth, entrepreneurial potential, high mobility from one hotel brand to the other... As long as you intentionally acquire the right skills, make use of networking opportunities, etc, you will grow.
