Oluwafunke Olademeji’s nocturnal paintings reveal an enchantment with light and the possibility of infinitude. Her adherence to a symbolist creed is interpreted through a variety of complex chromatic contrasts, in addition to the binary found in the heat of electric light and the chill of the sea: the vast, open skies and crowded urban life. Olademeji apprenticed under Abiodun Olaku, the renowned master of nocturnal painting in contemporary African art.

Olademeji’s works have featured in several exhibitions that include *Fourtune* (Mydrim Gallery, 2021), *A Room Full of Stories* (Kokopelli Gallery, 2021), *Legacy Art Salon* (Mydrim Gallery, 2021), and *Generations I [Future Masters Series]*, *Generations II [Future Masters Series]*, and *Generations III [Future Masters Series]* (2017, 2018, and 2019 respectively, Mydrim Gallery). Olademeji’s works have also featured in several auctions by Art House Contemporary and Terra Kulture.
