Raji Babatunde Mohammed (b. 1986) is a figurative impressionist whose works are characterized by zestful color action and self-possessed figuration, combining formalist concerns of aesthetics with the socio-political discourse of representation. Evident in his paintings is a rigorous artistic temperament, fortified by a career-long study and devotion to matters of aesthetics, coupled with an inspired fluency in paint application.
Babatunde’s considerable exhibition history includes four solo exhibitions in Nigeria: *Inspired* (Alexis Gallery, 2015), *Raji at Bloom* (Bloom Art Gallery, 2019), *Beauty and Illusion* (Alexis Gallery, 2021), and *Raji at Bloom II* (Bloom Art Gallery, 2022). His works have been featured in notable auctions and several group exhibitions across Nigeria and in Germany.
